What is Retargeting?
Unfortunately, no matter how targeted your ads are or how good your landing page is, some people just don’t convert the first time they visit your site. And, to be honest, it isn’t really even your fault.
As it turns out, on average, only about 4% of the visitors to your site are ready to buy right now.
So what can we do?
We put a pixel (a string of code) on your website. Essentially, every time a visitor arrives at your website, the pixel drops a cookie on his or her browser.
Browser cookies are essentially small files that can store various pieces of information, such as which web pages you have visited.
Then, when that visitor leaves your website, the cookie informs the retargeting platform to show that person specific ads based on what they were doing on your website.
Pixel-based retargeting offers the ability to retarget visitors immediately.
